Roles, Responsibilities and Functions:

Objectives of IQAC:

To develop the institution as the Centre of Excellence by equipping it with the latest infrastructure facilities so as to make it fit to achieve NAAC accreditation.

To develop and practice enhancement of creativity and motivation that drives students towards inculcating professionalism.

To set up environment congenial for synergizing academics.

To set up national and international collaborations among Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Information Technology disciplines to meet the global challenges.

To create world class e-learning system for students and training for teachers, researchers and regulators in the respective fields.

To expand research activities in new avenues and emerging segments

Functions of IQAC:

IQAC will ensure the quality culture and tries to build a dynamic structure to improve institutional functioning and create quality changes in the institution. IQAC will also facilitate to strengthen internal communication for a better teaching-learning process.

Disseminate information to the staff on the quality parameters to be adopted in teaching-learning. Organise Workshops/Seminars to help the institution reach the quality benchmark as given by NAAC.

Receive and incorporate the valid feedback responses from students, parents and stake holders on quality processes.

Document the various quality initiatives.

Integrate and adopt modern methods of teaching and learning.

IQAC ensures to complete the academic, administrative and financial tasks in a time bound manner, also ensuring efficiency and quality performance

IQAC has contributed significantly for institutionalizing the quality assurance strategies and processes, the following two practices are the results of IQAC initiatives

It has been a practice in the institution from the beginning to identify slow learners and advanced learners to create better opportunities for them. Slow learners are paid special attention and made them to attend special tutorial classes after college hours. It helps them to clarify their doubts and aids in further acquisition of knowledge.

Research Presentations and Publications

Students under the guidance of subject experts are made to attend several Conferences, Seminars and Workshops to present their scientific papers. In-house programmes also provide an opportunity to students to present papers and posters to enhance their knowledge on the stream of their future choice.

IQAC VISION:

To guarantee that higher education institutions prioritise quality culture by institutionalising and internalising all activities undertaken with internal and external assistance.

IQAC – MISSION:

To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.

Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

To encourage departments to establish student Learning-centric environment to use ICT tools for teaching and learning process and to inculcate value–based education system.

To develop an Institutional data base and documentation of the various activities leading to quality improvement.

Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.

To encourage Departments to organize Seminars, Workshops, Orientation and Faculty Development Program.

To ensure an effective and transparent operations to achieve excellence in Academic, Administrative and Financial activities.

To encourage self-evaluation, accountability, autonomy and innovations.

Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.

Strategies:

Ensuring the timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.

Providing relevant and high-quality academic/research programmes;

Ensuring equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for all segments of society;

Optimizing and integrating contemporary teaching and learning methods;

Ensuring the credibility of assessment and evaluation processes;

Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance, and proper allocation of support structures.

Role of the Coordinator:

To coordinate the dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education

To coordinate the documentation of the various programs / activities leading to quality enhancement.

To coordinate the quality-related activities of the institution

To coordinate in preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.

To coordinate the timely and efficient execution of the decisions of IQAC committee.

Activities of IQAC:

Preparing of the Annual Quality Assessment Report (AQAR) and submitting it to NAAC.

Participating in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and sending necessary after compiling those collected from the departments and sections.

Presenting before all stakeholders of the institute the area where the institute needs improvement following the release of NIRF ranking every year.

Collection of annual Performance Based Appraisal (PBAS)of faculties and Feedback on Curriculum from students

Preparing of National Board of Accreditation Report (NBA) and sending necessary after compiling those collected from the departments and sections.

Feedback of Students on curriculum is made online and the entire activity goes paperless.
